Welcome
So thrilled to be working with you!
This is just a warm hello + offers you some information about our time capturing your family memories.
I hope to offer you a moment to slow down with the people you love. I’ll take care of the details, you can relax and play.
However you show up, it is enough. We’ll embrace whatever arises that day.
Experience: We’ll balance posing you so you look fabulous and letting things unfold naturally, revealing the real you. All you have to do is show up ready to love on your best people.
Kids will offer their natural selves, I will make sure they have fun. They don’t need to smile. Don’t worry about anything they do!
Questionnaire: Please answer the easy questions. Most important is who will be there and anything you want me to know.
Time + what’s important to you: If there are specific places that are important to you or things you love doing together, we can incorporate those into our session. If you have a creative idea, images you love or something you’d love to try, let’s do it! If it is the beauty that is your everyday life, that is what we’ll do.
Arriving: Please be ready 5-10 minutes early for your session - either at home or where we are meeting. I’ll arrive ready to begin.
Home: We’ll want as much light inside as possible for the most luminous results, so pull up blinds and all window coverings. I’d love to have free reign to photograph in your entire house so anything you don’t want photographed can be stored in rooms without windows. Definitely not perfect, the beds can be a messy, rooms lived in.
What to do/wear: Come as you are. Most important is that everyone loves and feels great in what they're wearing.
If you feel comfortable showing skin, I’ll absolutely welcome that. The camera loves clothes with texture and clothes that move (linen, silk, knit, flowy dresses). You can be a little less formal in what feels comfy and fun to snuggle. Avoid neon or logos and busy prints. Smaller prints and fewer accessories are preferred.
Makeup photographs a few shades duller, so feel free to go a little bolder than you usually would. Bold makeup, a glitter eye, or a fun accessory can add wonders if it fits with your personal style.
Kids what to wear - clothes that are relaxed and move are best, if kids like being shirtless or in their most comfy outfit, that’s always welcome!
Babies are great in just a diaper or diaper cover for snuggling. It’s hard to keep clothes on them anyway!
Take off: you’ll probably go barefoot, feel free to wear sandals or slip-ons, comfortable shoes.
Phones and watches: Take off or put away watches (unless they are meaningful to you of course!) and phones.
Meeting: If we are meeting somewhere, feel free to bring a blanket, discreet kids snacks, something meaningful to you.Bring a small bag and I can carry that for you.
Fine print: Please monitor for illness and if anyone is feeling unwell or has any symptoms, stay home and let me know. Feel free to bring up any questions or needs for your ease, comfort and safety. I’ll always work with you to accommodate.
